You are bidding on one pair of irons or blades or cutters for a Stanley Number 79 double side rabbet wood plane as pictured.Included are one left hand iron and one right hand iron.Both are marked with the STANLEY notched rectangle logo and “MADE IN USA” below that. These are the later style with the taper to one long edge as can be seen. Overall length of the left hand iron (the darker iron in the pictures) is about 2″. Overall length of the right hand iron is about 2-1/16″. One of these will also fit into a Number 98 plane, and the other will fit into a Number 99 plane, although the irons could be much longer in those planes. No other parts are included. Condition of the left hand iron is good, with some rust as can be seen, and condition of the right hand iron is very good, with just a hint of rust or patina (color). SHIPPING: Under 1 pound, shipped in a padded envelope, shipped US Postal Service Ground Advantage, insurance is included. The Post Office now has several prices increases during each year, raising a few things but not everything at each increase. And they now raise their rates during the Holidays, which means early October to late January. Their big increases are in January, timed to start at the end of the Holiday rates, and this year is no exception. And it’s not just the postage rates, the insurance charges and the delivery signature charges have also gone up. There is now a surcharge for Priority Mail packages over 20″ long, and another for Priority Mail packages over 30″ long, because those longer packages won’t fit in their automatic machines. And the Post Office has discontinued the Regional Flat Rate boxes, which were often less expensive for certain sizes and weights. I try to pick the best shipping option for each listing, based both on what is the least expensive and on what I think is needed to protect the item.
